DETAILS

A second portrait of my SHD agent in Tom Clancy's The Division. I've never had a reason to mount a scope, laser sight, and a suppressor on a light machine gun until this guy, lol.

When I run solo, an assault rifle, flame turret, and seeker mines make things fun and work fine for me.  In a group, I usually go as long-range support with a light machine gun or marksman rifle.  If we don’t have one and no one else is willing to do it, I'll roll as a medic.

NOTES

-  ART PROGRAM/S:  Photoshop.
-  COMPLETION TIME:  16 hours.
-  Reference used.
-  The speed art video was featured in the Agent Highlights for April 2017 on Ubisoft's website for The Division.
-  2016 Game Review below. 2016 was the last time I played before taking a long break and I wrote the review to capture fresh thoughts for any future artwork (like this) I might've felt like doing.

2016 PERSONAL GAME RE-REVIEW: "TOM CLANCY'S THE DIVISION"

Play Time: 150 hours

This review is on certain aspects of the 1.4 patch on PC. The serious problems of the game which I encountered the last time I played (1.1 patch) have been dealt with.

The Division is a looter; a game where you take on enemies, collect items they drop after they’re defeated, and use those items to assemble ideal combinations for your character that fit your playstyle/s.  The game is visually fantastic on max settings and even though it doesn’t take long to beat the story content, it has high replay value because of the many things you can do afterwards.

THINGS I LIKED:

Bullet; Black  Improvement: Weapons and items have been fairly overhauled and rebalanced.  The same can be said for enemies and bosses as well.
Bullet; Black  Improvement: High-end gear is much easier to get in or outside of the The Dark Zone. Players can now focus more on experimenting with combinations of gear, personal skill-honing, working in a team, side missions, etc.
Bullet; Black Improvement: “World Tiers” prevent very high-geared enemies/players from interfering with people who are trying to catch up.  The higher the world tier you’re playing in, the better the quality of loot you can get.  Adjusting the difficulty level of missions affects the quantity of loot you get from that mission.
Bullet; Black Improvement: For those who enjoyed taking on strong mobs and bosses in The Dark Zone but didn’t like having to deal with PvP players going rogue and stealing their haul, Ubisoft accommodated by having a dozen or so epic gangs with bosses respawning and roaming in different PvE areas of Manhattan.

ISSUES I HAD:

:bulletred: Rogues still have a huge advantage in PvP. Now, I get that the Dark Zone is supposed to be brutal and unfair at times.  I get that there are many players who love the kind of PvP that goes on in there. And even though I had an issue with it, I’m not saying the DZ should be completely changed, either. Just maybe carve out districts/hoods for the PvP players who prefer structured and balanced matches like 1v1, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, and such.
Bullet; Red Hackers. They are still getting in and trolling players in the Dark Zone. My group ran into one who had gone rogue and I was annoyed to see him teleport away before we could kill him.  Minutes later, a random team of rogue players ended up killing us...and immediately after, they were wiped out by the hacker who attacked from behind (1v4). He made off with my group’s loot and the rogue team’s loot.

PERSONAL RATING:

8/10

Very Good.

While they mostly catered to PvE aspects, I was happy with the changes/improvements in The Division.  I was so pleased, I showed support by getting the expansions (Underground and Survival) and they didn't disappoint.

Thanks, Ubisoft, for listening to the players and showing them (and your game) some love.  Keep up the good work.
