1988’s “Contra” was a favorite game of mine for the 8-bit Nintendo Entertainment System. Anyone who’s seen Aliens, Predator, and played Contra on the NES/Famicom should understand this illustration. For those who weren’t around or just missed out, this is inspired by a meme that’s been out in the web for a long time; the idea that action heroes Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone should’ve starred in a movie based off of the video game when they were in their prime.

I’ve seen a good amount of photo manipulation out there but not that much artwork, so here’s me throwing my overdue hat in the mix.
